Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting, a related function, or an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Experience with Research and Development finance functions and processes.
+ Ability to deliver multiple projects while working with ambiguity and change, with attention to detail.
+ Ability to work with spreadsheets and databases, with excellent analytical skills.
+ Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to set objectives, drive results, and build long-term relationships across organizational boundaries with all levels.
+ Interest in business, finance, and the technology sector.
Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.
As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
The team works to enable and empower Google's Engineering and Infrastructure leaders to lead the technology and Research and Development roadmap towards positive outcomes via scalable processes, quantitative analysis, Financial Planning and Analysis governance, and the translation of complexities into insights.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Build relationships across the technical infrastructure organization to gather updates, understand technical programs, monitor financial progress, and synthesize and present the information to senior executives.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to quantify and address gaps in accountability and understanding.
+ Respond to ad-hoc requests and analytical projects from the Finance Director and Finance VP via insight and recommendations.
+ Develop multi-year financial projections and associated NPV calculations for key Engineering efficiency and new technology programs, and surface critical nuances during Business Case Review discussions.
+ Lead, develop, and generate updates for key transformational projects.
