Financial Analyst – Transportation - "Life-science Leader"

Are you interested in fast-paced, changing environment where you can make an immediate impact by applying your analytical skills? **About the role:** + Performs monthly manual billing for 3rd party courier. + Performs regular revenue and expense recognition, billing, and period end closing responsibilities. + Month end close responsibilities include journal entries, G/L account reconciliations, variance analysis and reporting. + Execute the month end billing and invoice generation process, including electronic invoicing to vendor systems. + Maintain control standards on manual and one-time special invoicing events through documentation and loading into the financial software. + Prepares monthly financial reports, billing reconciliations, and other financial schedules or analyses as assigned. + Analyzes budget vs. actual performance data; assists with interpretation and analysis of reports. + Liaise with our domestic and international financial colleagues to ensure proper accounting of intercompany and locally required billing events. + Work closely with other global functional areas (Global Project Management, Sourcing, Commercial Development, Client Services) to ensure that financial implication of strategic and tactical decisions and policies are identified. + Assists with regular review of transactional activity, reconciliations, and resolution of outstanding items. + Develop successful and efficient solutions to client requests for non-standard service offerings, ensuring compliance with company objectives and financial policies, while delivering superior client service. + Assists with the development and implementation of financial policies, global processes, documentation, and internal controls. + Assists with the coordination of work requirements for all external, internal, and special audits (including quarterly SOX audits). + Supports operational requests for analysis and inquiries related to billing activity and collections efforts. Responds in a timely, complete and accurate fashion to requests for information and analysis. + Proposes enhancements of existing reporting tools and systems (such as key performance indicators, optimization of financial data flow, interfacing of various IT systems etc.). + Enhance unbilled review and work with other functional departments to minimize unbilled revenue. + Automate through macros, databases, SQL, etc. ineffective or inefficient processes + Lead as a point of contact other functional departments, training on processes, billing triggers, and policies. **Education / Qualifications:** BA or BS degree in Finance or Accounting or related field **Experience and knowledge;** + SAP Experience + Strong analytical and problem solving skills + Minimum of two to three (2-3) years’ comparable experience. + Extensive knowledge of analytical tools such as MS Excel to facilitate analysis presentation + Outstanding verbal and written skills. + Prior use of ERP and Operational systems (demonstrated knowledge of system connectivity) + Ability to understand database structure, system interaction, and transaction flow among disparate systems. **What you will find at Labcorp:** • Work-life balance: At Labcorp, you can manage your work-life balance with their employee-friendly leave policy and enjoy dedicated time with your friends and family.
