Job Summary: The Financial Analyst 2-Hospital serves as a member of the Hospital Finance Team, which provides financial services to hospital administration and management. Performs other duties as needed. Contributes to productivity, budget, capital planning and other financial analysis. Advises management on relevant aspects of financial management, and review and analysis of other financial data throughout the organization. Partners with operational leaders to identify and eliminate budget variances, and to identify and implement financial improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborates with the Financial Planning and Analysis department to deliver comprehensive, coordinated financial services to support operational leaders.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree or financial relevant certification preferred. Minimum three years financial analysis or related experience required, or completion of LLUH Management Residency Program; healthcare experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of complex business principles required, especially as it relates to healthcare operations, finance and economics. Able to interface with varying levels of organizational stakeholders, present to groups, and teach finance principles and concepts. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Excellent client relationship management skills required. Able to cultivate positive, favorable working relationships with the various organizational stakeholders. Knowledge of leadership principles required, including process improvement leadership, project management, and group facilitation. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Licensures and Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), any other financial relevant certification or Master's Degree preferred.
