Financial Analyst
**Position:** Financial Analyst **Reports to Title:** Sr. Finance Manager **Department/Division:** Finance **Primary Work Location:** Bloomington, MN **Job Code/Classification:** Exempt **Revision Date:** April 2025 **Position Overview** The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for understanding and communicating departmental operating expenses and supporting customer promotional programs. **Essential Functions** (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.) Partner with department heads to monitor, analyze and report on departmental operating expenses. (20-25%) Assist with development and monitoring of customer retention programs and period-end reporting. (20-25%) Engage in Budget planning process, working with business leaders and corporate FP&A to plan and set targets for future years. (15-20%) Ability to analyze and report on purchasing activity of large customer groups. (5-10%) Assist in reporting and analysis of marketing projects. (5-10%) Analyze and reconcile the accounting for deferred revenue. (5-10%) Prepare various analysis and assist with special projects as necessary. (5%) **Competencies** (Knowledge and Skills needed for this position.) + Strong knowledge of Access and Excel with ability to utilize pivot tables and v-lookups as needed + Strong analytical skills and quantitative skills + Strong organizational skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills + Understanding of accounting principles + Flexibility in work schedule with ability to work longer days during month-end close and other busier times **Desired Qualifications** + **Required Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; or equivalent work experience + **Experience:** 1-2 years of experience within finance or accounting is preferred, but not required **Travel:** Occasional Travel **Other:** N/A **Other Information** **Direct reports:** N/A **Indirect reports:** N/A **Working Environment:** Hybrid, Combination of Office and Remote Work **Physical Demands:** Sitting, Standing, Typing **Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:** Monday – Friday standard business hours. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
