Position Overview

The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for understanding and communicating departmental operating expenses and supporting customer promotional programs.

Partner with department heads to monitor, analyze and report on departmental operating expenses. (20-25%) Assist with development and monitoring of customer retention programs and period-end reporting. (20-25%) Engage in Budget planning process, working with business leaders and corporate FP&A to plan and set targets for future years. (15-20%) Ability to analyze and report on purchasing activity of large customer groups. (5-10%) Assist in reporting and analysis of marketing projects. (5-10%) Analyze and reconcile the accounting for deferred revenue. (5-10%) Prepare various analysis and assist with special projects as necessary. (5%)

Competencies (Knowledge and Skills needed for this position.)

Strong knowledge of Access and Excel with ability to utilize pivot tables and v-lookups as neededStrong analytical skills and quantitative skillsStrong organizational skills, as well as verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding of accounting principlesFlexibility in work schedule with ability to work longer days during month-end close and other busier times

Desired Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; or equivalent work experienceExperience: 1-2 years of experience within finance or accounting is preferred, but not required

Pay Transparency Notice: 

Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range from $63,000 to $77,000.  In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.  Compensation for roles at GN depend on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience.  To remain competitive, GN offers a competitive benefits package, including annual bonuses, health insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off and paid holidays.
