The Financial Analyst provides oversight, implementation & support for various financial projects, monthly rolling forecasts and is involved in creating the school’s annual facility vendor procurement plan. This role provides grant-implementation to the faculty and serves as a resource for faculty & other staff on international projects and grant administration, primarily post-award. This role works closely with the faculty to plan, implement & monitor International Projects. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with the faculty as project managers and with presenting complex financial information to faculty and school management in a clear and concise way. This individual works directly with the Assistant Director for Budget & Financial Operations and is an integral part of the administrative team. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with financial information in a variety of applications and is highly motivated, deals well with ambiguity, is a self-starter and works well independently and in a team and is comfortable developing a working relationship with individuals in supporting departments across the university.
QualificationsRequired Education:
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education:
Master's degree
Required Experience:
2+ years experience with financial reporting and analysis, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of grant budgeting, proposal creation and proven track record of grant or financial management in a university environment. Min 2 years of relevant experience in academic administration with experience in pre- or post-award grants management.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and writing skills. Proficiency with spreadsheet and database software. Detail-oriented. Ability to multitask and work under multiple deadlines.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel. Work in a Mac environment and familiarity with Cayuse helpful.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $80,000.00. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
