Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Insurance in identifying, evaluating, mitigating, and monitoring our insurance-related risks. Use risk management tools and practices to report on insurance and other components of the total cost of risk. Manage the reporting and daily activities related to managing our insurance claims and risk management activities. Improve and modernize the financial analysis of total cost of risk to improve decision-making in Insurance.

Position Responsibilities

Create metrics used to inform leadership of current trends and costs for claims and insurance, extracting insights to lead to improved resultsCollect internal and external data for insurance renewals, including identifying and collecting the exposure data needed for insurance policy renewalsWork with insurance brokers to analyze risk, prepare reports, and manage insurance policy accuracyPartner with third-party service providers to ensure compliance and service standards are met and expenses are managedUse Risk Management Information System for completing insurance related activities such as claim reconciliations, surety and collateral tracking, and actuarial liability reviewsPrepare and file self-insurance regulatory filings under the direction of the Manager, InsuranceDevelop reporting to track the total cost of risk and work with the Manager, Insurance to develop cost reduction and risk mitigation strategiesEnsure compliance with relevant Conagra financial and Enterprise Risk Management policiesPartner with external actuaries to quantify the outstanding liabilities on self-insured claimsAdministrate the captive insurer to comply with state guidelines, while exploring ways to create value for the parent company through risk transfer solutions

Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Accounting or related field required3 years experience requiredPrefer professional experience in insurance, risk management, loss control, reporting and analytics, and/or forecastingAt this time, we require applicants for this role to be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship either now or in the future.
