Job Description
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting financial planning, traffic analysis, and relationship management with external entities in a P3 business model. This role will involve preparing and maintaining financial models, reports, and presentations, as well as collaborating on evaluating financing alternatives and strategic analysis. The ideal candidate should be able to work collaboratively across various departments within the company to enhance decision-making and contribute to the development and efficiency of the business.
Main Responsibilities: Maintain and update financial models to support the analysis of operational and financial activities. Assist in developing short- and long-term financial plans for all company entities. Prepare the annual traffic budget, including associated revenues and expenses. Monitor and analyze daily traffic, reporting any deviations from expected trends. Support the preparation of financial reports for shareholders and external partners (creditors, rating agencies, banks, among others). Develop financial and operational presentations and reports according to American and European standards. Analyze and propose business expansion opportunities or efficiencies. Collaborate on financial analysis to identify financing alternatives and appropriate capital structures. Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, including Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A). Support the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager in managing relationships with local and international banks and the debt rating process. Assist with the dynamic toll lane (DTL Lane) traffic volume and rate algorithm. Support external and internal audit processes related to financial information. Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Economics or Finance from an accredited university. Work Experience: Recent graduate or less than 2 years of experience in a similar role. Specific Knowledge and Technical Skills Required: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. Familiarity with accounting and financial concepts and practices. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Basic understanding of state and federal taxes. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and external agencies. Ability to deliver accurate and timely results. Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and stay organized. Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation. Critical thinking and the ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively. Aptitude for working cross-functionally within the organization and efficiently managing time. Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
