The Role
The Financial Analyst supports the Specialty Chemical and Materials (SCM) OLED business unit through several accounting and finance activities. The position supports the manufacturing and R&D activities at the manufacturing plant located in Shannon, Ireland. The employee will report directly to the SCM Financial Analysis Manager and collaborate with the OLED & Dye Global Operations Manager to conduct financial analysis, ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and maintain accurate financial records. SCM is a growth-focused business unit which rolls-up under the Industrial Coatings reporting segment within PPG Industries external reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide financial support to the SCM business unit, focused on the rapidly growing OLED business segment, including financial analysis and reporting to key stakeholders.
• Accomplish closing activities in SAP such as journal entries, variance analysis and reporting, production team collaboration, and other activities to support trial balance submission.
• Complete monthly and quarterly account analysis, ensuring accuracy of balance sheet trends.
• Support tax and regulatory requirements on a monthly and annual basis, including Corporate Tax, ROS, RCT, VAT, PAYE/PRSI and R&D Tax Credit.
• Assist with the annual budgeting process, coordinating manufacturing and overhead budgets and loading into SAP.
• Support annual audit requirements, including the preparation of support schedules, providing backup, and coordination with the tax department to ensure the timely filing of annual tax returns.
Education, Knowledge & Experience
• Fully Qualified Accountant with a recognised body (CIMA, ACA ACCA or CPA)
• A Minimum of 3 years’ experience at a similar level in a multinational environment.
• Chemical or Pharmaceutical experience is desirable, technical knowledge of production processes and operations.
• High level computer proficient for example, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP etc.
