The Financial Analyst will be responsible for compiling and reviewing financial information.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate with operational leaders to facilitate timely closure of monthly accounts, including the preparation of monthly account reconciliations and other financial control measures to uphold the accuracy and completeness of financial statements. Ensure variances are thoroughly investigated, opportunities and risks are identified and communicated to stakeholders. Assist in managing spend against budget and forecast and present monthly expense and key metrics reports to assigned budget owners. Collaborate with budget owners to provide robust and accurate annual plan and forecast inputs while providing monthly variance analysis and to drive process improvements. Assist with the management and development of the agency budget model, providing in-depth and detailed analysis to drive intelligent decision-making. Create and audit new financial reporting schedules to increase awareness of drivers and key metrics and ensure accuracy and transparency of reported and forecasted results. Perform ad hoc analyses, and assist team leadership with complex tasks, and projects.
Job Requirements
Minimum a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business, Accounting or Finance. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area; preferably in a mid-size non-profit organization. Ability to work with an economically and culturally diverse population. Skills: verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of management Salary & ScheduleSalary range is $60,000 - $66,000, based on education, certification, experience and skills.
