The Analyst will provide financial support by using technical ability to provide accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and critical business insight. Contribute to the strategic and annual operating plans. Execute financial, internal control, and audit assignments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support month-end close process by reviewing data, preparing journal entries and developing analyses. Ensure financial reports accurately reflect financial performance in accordance with GAAP and Tenneco’s policies. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and reconciliation schedules. Support the business planning processes (strategic plan, annual operating plan including sales and cost of sales, and periodic forecasts). Support cost reduction projects; including analysis, tracking and monitoring. Create and deliver various analyses including but not limited to sales and profitability. Supply audit documentation and analyses as requested. Ensure internal audit processes and controls are operating effectively. Create analyses and reports as requested. Participate/Lead finance process improvement projects. Lead various special projects. Other duties as assigned.Required Skills:
Ability to work within the framework of the department, interacting with manufacturing and other functions as needed to process work. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and develop improvement strategies when needed. A broad understanding of manufacturing processes, Cost Accounting, problem solving and the application of GAAP and FASB practices to manufacturing operations.Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience working within a manufacturing facility Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 5+ years financial analyst experience Experience with Microsoft Office required. Ability to work in a dynamic environment and meet demanding deadlines. Ability to set goals and deliver timely and accurate results for self. Ability to conduct research and provide effective recommendations. Communicate effectively with other functional areas and all levels within the organization.
