We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst for a one year contract.  This position is responsible for various financial aspects of their assigned program(s).

Responsibilities

Perform detailed analysis of projects/contractsAnalyze variances between actual performance and plan/forecastForecasting/budgeting at the divisional, contract and program levelPrepare month end journal entries and accrualsManage program cash to cash cycle and customer invoicingEnsure compliance with corporate policies, contractual requirements and GAAPAdhoc management reporting

Requirements

Level four or equivalent in the CPA program. A combination of experience and education will be consideredJob cost experienceProject analysis and reporting experienceFinancial accounting experienceEarned Value Management and project scheduling experience would be an assetStrong knowledge of computer applications, accounting principles, practices and procedures as well as excellent attention to detailExhibit strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem solving and analytical skillsThe ability to work with a team, as well as independently, is requiredDue to a high volume of work, this position requires the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
