Financial Analyst
Position Description:

Join our team and play a critical role in advancing the Army's financial operations and audit readiness. This position is located in our Crystal City, VA. office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
This position supports the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army and Financial Management & Comptroller, Army Audit Sustainment. The Financial Analyst will participate in the Army’s financial statement auditability initiatives. We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Procurement and Revenue audit support team.
-Creates narratives (such as white papers and memorandums for the record) as part of conducting auditor business process.
-Analyzes, documents, develops, and redesigns business processes and assists with developing automation.
-Responds to auditor Notice of Findings (NFRs) by developing Corrective Actions Plans (CAPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as well as recommending, designing, and implementing internal controls.
-Liaisons between consulting firms, auditing firms, and US Army commands to collaborate on audit facilitation and remediation efforts and the development of “best practices” to increase the effectiveness of Army policies and efficiency in Army business practices.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
-Mandatory: Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Management/Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science or held directly related to the position.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Mandatory: one of the following active and current certifications issued by the appropriate licensing authority: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL);
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
-Ten (10) years of experience with Federal financial management; including four (4) years of Federal accounting experience.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
-Understanding the Army Procurement process and reimbursable work orders is preferred.
-Understanding of the Army Revenue process is preferred.
-Reimbursable error resolution is preferred.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $69,700.00 - $154,300.00.
