Description We are offering a contract for a Financial Analyst position in Memphis, Tennessee. This role is crucial within our Global Operations team, supporting North American Packaging and Recycling facilities with various financial duties. This role will be part of the Finance Global Operations Converting organization, focusing on month-end close processes, reporting, and analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Providing month-end close and analytical support to the North American packaging facilities.
• Managing a portfolio of centralized close activities for assigned Packaging or Recycling locations.
• Ensuring recording of transactions in accordance with GAAP and other established accounting policies.
• Facilitating comprehensive monthly closing, review, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
• Collaborating with both internal and external parties during financial audits and balance sheet reviews, owning the resolution of assigned action items.
• Adhering to internal controls in every area of responsibility.
• Preparing various reports for governmental entities, trade associations, and internal organizations.
• Conducting ad hoc financial analyses as required.
• Ensuring the accurate processing of customer credit applications and maintenance of customer credit records.
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Proficiency in financial reporting and understanding of reporting requirements
• Strong knowledge of compliance and internal control mechanisms
• Experience in conducting financial reviews and audits
• Solid understanding of finance and GAAP accounting principles
• Proficiency in performing reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
• Ability to perform ad hoc financial analyses
• Experience with facility management and global operations
• Familiarity with closing processes and managing month-end close
• Understanding of entity formation and packaging components
• Knowledge of end-to-end accounting processes
• Experience with IP protocol and its financial implications
• Ability to manage and perform monthly closings.
