As a member of Bell's Commercial Finance team, you will be responsible for finished good inventory analysis and preparing the surplus and obsolescence reserve\. In addition, this position will be responsible for supporting the business with Inventory reductions, Business Reviews, and assist with identifying operational metrics\. This position will also analyze Spares profitability performance and work with the business to understand the underlying trends\. The role will also provide the appropriate GAAP and accounting techniques to assigned projects, provide analysis, support month\-end financial closing duties, and investigate variances\.
**What you'll be doing as a Financial Analyst:**
* Responsible for monthly Inventory reports, analysis, and communicating explanations for fluctuations to management\.
* Work with Integrated Operations/Finance to reserve or scrap aging production orders for work in process as well as work closely with Business Operations to forecast part performance\.
* Ensure proper accounting for Inventory and reconcile PowerBI dashboard to the general ledger\.
* Calculate and analyze the quarterly finished goods surplus and obsolescence \(S&O\) reserve and provision for slow moving inventory monthly\.
* Partner with business to achieve inventory reduction initiatives and help determine metrics to track progress\.
* Work with IT, the business, and co\-workers to support dashboards in Power BI for Inventory and Spares, etc\. as well as supporting ad hoc Aftermarket requests and helping other team members as needed\.
* Responsible for monthly Spares profitability analysis and communicating explanations for margin variances and fluctuations to upper management\.
* Preparing quarterly program review package that analyzes top part performance and sales and cost production trends\.
* Conducting month\-end close duties including the processing of journal entries, variance analysis, and monthly metrics reporting\.
* Provide assessment of procedures with the goal of identifying potential process improvements and refining current processes to achieve efficiencies, eliminate redundancies & document processes as required\.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as be a team Player and self\-starter capable of meeting deadlines with minimal supervision\.
* Detail oriented with good organization, critical thinking skills, excellent analytical and problem\-solving skills, and ability to utilize good common sense\.
* Must be able to take initiative to proactively seek out solutions to business issues\.
* Ability to effectively interface with both internal and external customers\.
* Strong Microsoft Office knowledge, including Excel\.
* SAP Experience\.
* Knowledge of Power BI preferred\.
**What you need to be successful:**
* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or other related field of study\.
* Master's degree preferred\.
* 2 years of work experience in Accounting, Finance, or other related area\.
