ResponsibilitiesPosition Overview: The Financial Analyst functions acts as a business support person to the Operations and Financial Management team. Responsible for analyzing and developing standard costs, bill of materials (BOM), and assisting in the development of the annual budget. This person will work closely with the manufacturing leaders and the rest of the business unit to perform margin analysis, as well as understanding circumstances and how they impact the financial results.
Essential Duties:
Ensure financial analysis and reports of manufacturing costs for business operations & executivesAssist with cost analysis and product unit costingBuilding cost analysis consolidation and analysisProvide manufacturing cost accounting support to the operationsContribute to Month end close, review of variances from budget, & expenses reviewsPrepare KPI (Scorecard) analysis and reporting business metricsPerform Ad hoc projects analysis as neededParticipate on new projects and cost saving initiativesMonth-End financial activities and reporting to senior management and corporateMonthly analytical review of material consumptionMonth-end and special projectsMonthly preparation of journal entries and reconciliationsFacilitate monthly physical inventory, and perform reconciliationSpecial project improvement activitiesBuild reports leveraging Power BI to support inventory reconciliation and reporting core modelInvestigate automation capabilities with Power automate, make recommendations for best practice, and implement to ease manual nature of inventory managementInitiate and lead special projects for process improvementsAssist with year-end audit by providing data requested by external auditors Qualifications
Education And Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/FinanceExperience with ERP Systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) and BI tools such as Power BIExperience in automation and continuous improvement approachPrior manufacturing experience preferredRequired Skills
