Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Accounting Operations team, the Finance Analyst role involves managing daily accounting, settlement, and reconciliation activities performed by the finance team. This role encompasses a broad scope and requires an excellent understanding of accounting policies, processes, and controls, as well as their operation within the credit card environment. It also necessitates ensuring the integrity of the reported financial data. Additionally, this role supports the Senior Manager with business projects to ensure the effective and efficient integration of new product offers and accounting policies into existing accounting processes.
What You'll Do:
Responsible for accounting processes related to PC Financial products (PC Money Account and PC Mastercard)Provide guidance to outsourced accounting vendors and communicate the changes related to their day-to-day processes and create procedural manuals for themMonitor and highlight items requiring further investigation into outstanding balances and issuesPrepare Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly and additional commentary on a quarterly basis as requiredLiaise with business partners and other lines of business to obtain relevant data, solve problems and create efficient processesCoordinate with Treasury, Shared Services, SAP and Business Project Teams to ensure accurate set up of finance processesFocus on a continuous improvement mindset, offering alternatives for creating process efficiencies and reducing manual workAd hoc requests and reporting as requiredWhat You'll Need:
Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting or FinanceCompletion of CPA designation, or in advanced stages of programA minimum of 1 years of accounting and finance experienceRetail banking and TSYS experience would be an assetStrong technical skills (IFRS, audit, SAP, excel, database etc.)An aptitude for figures and attention to detailStrong interpersonal and communication skillsEffective verbal and written skillsExcellent planning, organizational and analytical skillsDemonstrated ability to interact with people at various levels of an organizationCome and join a winning team who demonstrates innovation, energy, creativity and vision.
