Today, the Cesar Chavez Foundation (CCF) carries on Cesar’s legacy by growing and adapting into a successful group of high-performing social enterprises that support Latinos and working families and inspiring and transforming cross-generational communities from rural to urban areas. It serves over one million individuals through housing and economic development, education, broadcast communications and the National Chavez Center (NCC). With more than 300 employees across five states, CCF addresses crucial needs of our community, while remaining sustainable, strategic and fiscally responsible.
The Financial Management Department is one of CCF’s core centralized services and lead by the CFO. Its core responsibilities and functions include Accounting, Treasury, Information Technology and Risk Management. The Financial Analyst reports to the CFO.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for conducting detailed financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making. This role involves forecasting, data analysis, data management, benchmarking, and collaborating with leadership to improve financial processes. The Financial Analyst will also assist in operational and capital budget development, develop data visualization tools, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Financial Forecasting & Analysis:
+ Evaluate current and historical financial data, including income, expenditure, and market performance.
+ Forecast future performance, identifying trends in investments, stocks, and other financial projects.
+ Analyze operations for effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
+ Reporting:
+ Develop and produce monthly financial reports, providing insights for various levels of management.
+ Create ad hoc reports as needed, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of critical financial information.
+ In collaboration with the CFO, develop robust reporting structures to align with organizational goals.
+ Data Management & Visualization:
+ Build effective data management strategies to ensure accuracy and accessibility of financial information.
+ Develop data visualization tools using Power BI or Tableau to communicate financial performance effectively.
+ Budgeting & Benchmarking:
+ Assist in the development of operational and capital budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
+ Conduct benchmarking analysis to evaluate performance against industry standards and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
+ Financial principles, practices, and procedures.
+ Data management and visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
+ Regulatory compliance in financial operations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, and data management.
+ Required experience in developing reports and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
+ Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and financial software.
+ Experience in developing automated financial reporting processes is preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position operates in a professional office environment with regular use of standard office equipment. Occasional travel may be required for meetings or training.
