ABOUT THE ROLE
The Finance Analyst plays a key role in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. This position requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work with large data sets to ensure accurate financial classification, aging, and reporting. The Finance Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to support month-end close processes, balance sheet variance analysis, and reconciliation, to comply with IPG policies and procedures.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analysis & Reporting
Extract, cleanse and analyse large datasets related to key Balance sheet accounts (such as Accounts Receivable, Accrued Media Billable, Accounts Payable, Accrued Media Payables) and intercompany transactions to ensure accurate classification, aging, and compliance with IPG policies. Provide quarterly balance sheet variance analysis, identifying key business drivers and trends.Month-End Close, Reporting & Compliance Support
Support the Corporate Compliance Team in executing month-end close procedures, ensuring financial records are accurate and complete. Prepare and post journal entries for key accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (USGAAP). Prepare reporting schedules to support Group consolidation procedures. Contribute to the integrity of balance sheet reporting by assisting in timely reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.Balance Sheet Reconciliation & Action Planning
Prepare quarterly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Develop and maintain clear action plans to address aged balances and ensure timely resolution. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and compliance teams, to ensure financial accuracy.Ad-hoc & automation
Collaborate with internal teams on projects to drive efficiency in reporting procedures, including continuous process improvement and automation.ABOUT YOU
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with an interest in pursuing a professional qualification. Part-qualified or working towards a CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent certification 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar role (media, advertising, or professional services industry preferred, however not essential). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, Power Query, Power Pivot and VBA) and business intelligence & dashboarding tools (Power BI). Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, MediaOcean or similar). Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse large datasets, identify trends, and proactively engage with the team to resolve challenges and improve processes. Attention to Detail: a keen eye for details and strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity. Adaptability & Flexibility: Ability to work well under pressure, take ownership of tasks and committed to meet deadlines. Communication & Collaboration: ability to communicate effectively and work cross-functionally with teams. Understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and SOX compliance.Employee Transparency
