Role Summary In this position, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining various aspects of the gross margin financial forecast, including monthly actuals vs. forecast variance analysis, quarterly forecast report building, and weekly business performance reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with advanced excel business models and building visualizations & data tables in BI dashboards. The candidate should also be highly organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Responsibilities ● Prepare weekly sales performance reports for Commercial leadership and the CFO, expanding contents with additional insights throughout the year ● Refresh benchmark reports that are critical for developing dynamic scenarios; these reports touch on inventory, bill-of-materials and almost all other revenue and cost of goods sold items ● Support month-end close processes by compiling forecast data in line with Corporate Accounting policies and guidelines ● Prepare and enter data into Oracle EPM tool for quarterly forecasts ● Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or variances promptly ● Maintain and refine Hex visualizations and dashboards illuminating key gross margin metrics ● Work on special projects, as needed Qualifications ● Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance is a must ● 3+ years of corporate finance work experience ● Highly proficient in spoken and written English ● Oracle EPM experience preferred ● Experience with SAP, Databricks, and Hex/Tableau/PowerBI ● General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles and theories with the ability to learn Rivian policies ● Advanced Excel skills ● Strong attention to detail ● Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively ● Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills ● Demonstrated ability to work independently ● Excellent oral and written communication skills ● Constant desire to learn and challenge others to find the best solution, not afraid of failure ● Ability to adapt to changes, both big and small ● Proven ability in developing, implementing, and maintaining process improvements ● A positive attitude with a focus on keeping life adventurous Equal Opportunity Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
