Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Financial Analyst in the Oil & Gas - Field Services industry, based in Houston, Texas. This role primarily involves preparing and analyzing accounting records, creating reports, and assisting with audits, among other tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze accounting records and financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to departmental standards
• Prepare routine monthly reports for management review
• Assist with audits to maintain organizational compliance and transparency
• Generate ad hoc reports for analysis as required
• Document and maintain financial records using current technologies
• Respond to inquiries from the parent company and prepare relevant reports
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Manage capital and contribute to budget processes
• Perform other duties as assigned by management Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial analysis role within the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in Field Services.
• Proficient in executing all accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Solid understanding and practical application of accrual accounting principles.
• Experience in conducting financial audits to ensure compliance with regulations and to identify any potential areas of improvement.
• Proven track record in budgeting processes, including planning, tracking, and adjusting budgets as necessary.
• Expertise in capital management, with the ability to make strategic decisions based on financial data and forecasts.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is mandatory; an advanced degree or certification such as a CPA or CFA is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial analysis and modeling.
