Job Description

  

This post is based in Chelmsford.  The site generates world-leading technology critical for humankind, including vital components for radiotherapy machines and the imaging devices used in ground-breaking space missions.

Teledyne employs c 15000 people worldwide; our Chelmsford facility is one of largest within the Teledyne group, hosting multiple business units and functions.

The Finance team in Chelmsford cover the full range of accounting disciplines. We focus on providing a high quality, professional and efficient service to a wide range of customers, based locally, across the UK and across the world.

Responsibilities:

Execution of regular periodic accounting processes

Provision of regular periodic reporting and forecasting

Provide support to the RF Power Finance team as required:

for the delivery of financial projects;

in the preparation of financial plans;

for any financial/commercial decision relating to the business

in the provision of training, advice and support to relevant managers;

in ensuring the business operates within the financial controls and procedures set by the Teledyne Group;

Competencies:

Accurate with good attention to detail.

Able to work autonomously and part of integrated teams

Have excellent IT skills, especially within Excel spreadsheet development and manipulation

Experience and understanding of inventory management would be advantageous

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Be able to work within a fast paced, ever changing business

Experience of working within a deadline structured delivery environment

Experience of an ERP system – preferably SAP

Qualifications:

AAT qualified or a degree in Finance, Accounting or Maths

Working toward a professional accountancy qualification
