At Red Robin, our driven and talented team is passionate about food, and strives to delight our guests and each other through genuine spirit of service, relentless focus on improvement, and unwavering integrity, while having fun in a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive environment.  The Finance Department provides financial insight and guidance to Operations, FP&A, Real Estate, People and Innovation teams.  Inquisitive, and self-motivated, the Financial Analyst creates and analyzes various financial models and reports. As a critical cross-functional partner for the organization, this position will serve as an expert for budgeting and P&L-related analysis, including, but not limited to variances, expense trends, food and labor management, product mix and overall profitability. This motivated and enthusiastic Team Member possesses strong business acumen, as well as excellent quantitative and decision-making skills.  A successful Financial Analyst will turn analysis into insights and will effectively communicate findings and recommendations, as well as help make business decisions alongside stakeholders.

Essential Responsibilities

Serve as a financial adviser to various stakeholders across the business by building financial models and presenting findings as well as recommendations to senior leadership

Support the field Operations, Marketing and Supply Chain teams as a business partner by collaborating directly with key stakeholders and providing data-driven actionable insights and solutions.

Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders clearly and effectively.

Synthesize and analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.

Participate in the generation of P&L budgets for over 400 restaurants, implement improvements in the budgeting process, and provide detailed explanations of budgeting methodology to the Operations team.

Provide robust ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting, and effectively present the results and recommendations to senior leadership.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics to track progress toward financial goals.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular audits and maintaining documentation.

Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement using advanced analytics tools.

Years of Experience/Education Required:

Minimum of 1-3 years of quantitative and qualitative financial analysis experience, preferably within restaurant or retail industries.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics or equivalent experience preferred.

                                                                

Other Requirements:

Foundational financial modeling skills, and the ability to turn data into insights and make recommendations regarding improvements to profitability.

Solid Understanding in financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flow.

Demonstrated success in generating budgets, analyzing P&L results, and reporting financials.

Intermediate analytical skills with sound business judgement and high level of attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate with multiple levels of the organization.

Ability to work on multiple projects, with cross-functional teams, and to meet deadlines.

Nimbleness and adaptability to changes in priorities.

Curiosity, self-drive, and enthusiasm to deliver results and improve the existing processes.

Software/Technical Skills:

High proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience with Oracle, Anaplan and Power BI preferred.

Working Conditions

This position is hybrid remote. The ideal candidate would reside in Colorado and be able to travel to the Restaurant Support Center in Englewood, CO as needed.

Compensation Range: $65,700.00 - $90,300.00
