The Role
This position sits within the Center of Enterprise Technology Analytics team primarily supporting Fidelity Technology Business Units (BUs). This role is highly analytical and requires an individual who can multi-task in a fast-paced and highly sophisticated organization. The ability to partner with Decision Support, IT Finance senior leaders, IT product management, Controller, and other finance organizations is a necessity.
The Financial Analyst is aligned with a few BUs and tasked with providing excellent finance support and analysis to the BUs. The role is responsible for providing a broad range of financial analytics and reporting of revenue and expense trends, and execute financial controls. In addition, this position plays a lead role in month-end close activities and providing monthly financial reviews with variance commentary to leadership.
The Expertise You Have
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business with 2 to 3 years of related Finance experience.Applicants must have outstanding analytical, communication, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Business maturity and presence to optimally interact with senior management.Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills with confidence and ability to influence others across the company while building relationships.Keen ability to envision the 'big picture' while maintaining close attention to detail.Your solid understanding of financial principles and practical experience in applying this knowledge to business situations.Synthesis of analysis and research into strategic insights and practical recommendations.Solid knowledge of financial tools (Excel, PowerBI, TBM, Anaplan, PowerPoint) and financial modeling.Your ability to manage deliverables independently and with a high degree of efficiency.The Value You Deliver
Validate and providing clear and concise evaluations, analysis, and financial models.Developing financial analysis and reporting for BUs, month-end close processing, variance analysis and related business commentary.Supporting ongoing/ad-hoc analysis and develop recommendations, including scenario analysis.Evaluating and improving IT financial management processes to meet changing business needs and efficiency goals.Reviewing junior level analysts work for your assigned BUs.Coaching and develop junior level analysts.Note: Fidelity is not providing immigration sponsorship for this position
