Position Purpose:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to assist the Plant Controller with forecasting, cost accounting, financial closing, reporting, and inventory management at the Colonial Heights site and multiple other locations. This role ensures that internal controls are in place and followed, providing critical insights and financial analysis to support business decisions.
Position Responsibilities: Month-End Closing: Prepare journal entries, ensure monthly transactions are accurately recorded, and analyze/report spend, production credits, MUV, inventory adjustments, and PPV performance. Financial Reporting: Analyze and report financial results on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis compared to prior year, plan, and forecast. Forecasting: Work closely with department managers to develop monthly forecasts and weekly operational pulses (including operations, maintenance, HR, engineering, and HSE). Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, identify discrepancies, develop action plans, and lead resolutions. Support Annual Plans: Contribute to the development of the site’s annual operating plan and strategic plan. Inventory Audits: Coordinate and assist with multiple annual physical inventories, storeroom inventory, and fixed asset audits. Invoice Resolution: Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Procurement to resolve blocked invoice payments. Internal Control: Maintain and enhance strong internal control processes; educate site personnel through monthly finance learning series. New Product Costing: Support costing for new products. Process Improvement: Implement financial process improvements to reduce cycle times, automate tasks, and enhance reporting and analysis. Cost Savings: Identify cost-saving initiatives and productivity projects, tracking and reporting on savings. Ad-Hoc Analysis: Assist with special projects, ad-hoc analysis, and other duties as required. Qualifications – Required: 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance position Qualifications – Preferred: SAP experience Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel Ability to understand plant and business activities from a broader financial perspective Strong communication skills, able to convey financial data to non-financial personnel effectively Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Self-motivated, results-oriented, proactive, and able to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines Why Join Us?

Pay Details: $36.00 per hour
