Financial Analyst (Brokerage) Job ID 202186 Posted 23-Jan-2025 Service line Advisory Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Accounting/Finance Location(s) Vancouver - British Columbia - Canada **About the Role** As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for providing commercial real estate investment sales financial underwriting, market research, and coordinating transaction due diligence for CBRE National Investment Team Vancouver. This job is part of the Brokerage job function working with the National Investment Team – Vancouver, the top investment team by market share in the province. You will work alongside a group of analysts, underwriting some of the most high-profile investment properties across all asset types: office, industrial, retail, multi-family, development land, and development joint ventures. This high-performing team provides an excellent opportunity for training and development and an exciting work environment that is fast paced and rewarding. **What You’ll Do** + Complete financial underwriting for investment property sale opportunities in Excel and Argus. Modeling requirements include pro forma cashflow projection, residual land evaluation, and development joint ventures. + Conduct market research to support assumptions applied in financial modeling and assist brokers with market presentations. + Assist brokers with preparation of valuation and marketing strategy proposals for all commercial real estate asset types across the region. + Gather and coordinate materials necessary for transactions such as listing agreements, commission agreements, leases, and sales agreements. + Have some knowledge of standard valuation principles with limited practical experience in applying them. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. + Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. + Liaise with financial analysts at client companies to obtain property information and market data to complete underwriting and conduct due diligence for transactions **What You’ll Need** + Bachelor's Degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience in the fields of commercial real estate investment or appraisal. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + Top caliber work ethics and communication skills required to work with a team of high-performance professionals in a fast-paced environment. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a preference. + Argus certification is a benefit but not required and will be an expectation for the future growth in this role. + Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems. + Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments. + Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset. _Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future_ CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range being offered for this position is $75,000-$85,000 annually.
