*POSITION SUMMARY:*
To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by:
providing financial and outcomes information & analyses to advance the status of Health First as
Brevard County’s preeminent health care provider in reputation, mission, and financial performance.
*PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES:*
1. Safeguard patient and organizational information, adhering to all applicable laws, regulations,
and Health First policies to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
2. Ensure all reports related to patient safety are accurate, timely, and appropriately utilized to
support Health First’s commitment to safe patient care.
3. Assist in the maintenance and administration of the contract management system for Health
First, ensuring data accuracy and system efficiency.
4. Gather preliminary data to support the Sr. Financial Analyst in managing the contract
management system and related processes.
5. Design and produce accurate, high-quality information and reports to support departmental and
organizational decision-making.
6. Work collaboratively within a team to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of
departmental outcomes.
7. Apply fundamental analytical concepts to assess the performance of Health First’s payer
contracts, contributing to financial strategy and compliance.
8. Perform tasks in a manner that maintains the integrity and effectiveness of departmental
information systems, ensuring data is up-to-date and accessible by required deadlines.
9. Respond to and complete customer requests following departmental policies to provide
accurate, timely, and valuable information.
10. Support efforts to enhance Health First’s financial performance by providing accurate data
related to utilization, reimbursement, and other financial metrics.
11. Monitor and review contract payments on a monthly basis, identifying any discrepancies and
reporting as necessary for financial accuracy.
12. Contribute to meeting annual department goals and objectives, participating with enthusiasm
and offering insightful contributions to help drive success
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*
***You must live in Florida to Qualify***
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Work Experience: Two (2) years in hospital system information systems.
• Licensure: None
• Certification: None
• Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
o Excellent Oral and written communication skills.
o Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
o Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Ability to prioritize and organize to maximize quality, value and service.
o Enthusiasm and high level of job interest.
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:*
• Significant computer work and occasional long hours when workload demands.
• Able to sit and view computer screen for up to three hours at a time.
• Ability to occasionally stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
