- Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor. - Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost - Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs - Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures - Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports - Making estimates of new and proposed product costs - Prepare quotations for cost of large projects and analysis post close out - Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. - Maintaining Cost Accounting System - Assist with inventory valuation and reporting Physical inventory and cycle count program Excess and obsolescence analysis - Assist with Month end close of the General Ledger - Development and maintenance of standardized reporting database Data is used for internal performance reporting - Development and maintenance of standardized performance reporting Prepare internal monthly performance charts Prepare external Monthly Performance Review (MPR) charts - Reconcile finished goods inventories - Compile project costs and analyze variances - Travel to manufacturing facilities on an as needed basis - Assist with standardized reporting database used for internal reporting

MUST HAVES: - 3-5 years of Financial analysis (pricing analysis) (or Cost Accounting) - Manufacturing industry - Experience managing their own projects/processes - Advanced Excel experience (Macros. Pivot tables, Formulas, Quires) - Longevity / Tenure QUESTIONS TO ASK FOR SCREENING: 1. Tell me about a project you have done in the past? How you completed it. 2. When you are faced with a problem, how did you move forward? (Looking for IDK what to do, but I know the best person to ask. -- LOOKING for the candidate to be confident in asking questions)

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $41.00/hr.
