An exciting opportunity has become available for a dynamic Financial Analyst to join our new Engineering Technology & Safety (ET&S) Finance team. The role will report to the Head of FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) for ET&S.
The FP&A Finance Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. This position is a new position and requires the ability to install new simple, sustainable methods, reports and ways of working. We are looking for analytical thinking, financial modelling expertise, and strong business acumen to provide actionable insights that influence decision-making at all levels of the business.

What you will be doing:
Develop and manage financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.Analyse financial results, variances, and trends to provide insights and recommendations.Prepare monthly management reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and business drivers.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and understand financial impacts on operations.Assist in scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and strategic business initiatives.Provide financial analysis to support investment decisions, cost management, and efficiency improvements.Participate in continuous improvement of FP&A processes and systems.Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and reporting.Who we’re looking for:

A qualified accountant AAT/ CIMA/ACCA or equivalent (or in their final year of qualifying)3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or a similar role.Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and Excel; experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, or similar).Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.Attention to detail, high accuracy, and problem-solving ability.The professional level and the salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
