Job Summary:

Financial Analyst will develop, interpret, and implement financial and accounting concepts/techniques for financial planning and control.
 

Essential Functions:

Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, and action. Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance.  Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly.  Evaluates complex profit plans, operating records, and financial statements. Directs preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, statistical reports, and business forecasts. Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts. Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies. Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, new business planning, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. Assist organization in the development of the budget, planning and other corporate financial requirements. Other duties as required.

Other Requirements:

Four year degree. One to three years of experience. Ability to read and interpret documents.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.  Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts.  Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and facto analysis.  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
