Analyst is responsible for preparation filing and auditsettlement activity of the annual Medicare and Tricare cost reports The position assists in the annual state OHS filings and the preparation of any reopening and appeal papers for Hartford Healthcare Additionally this position collaborates with management in the reimbursement regulatory operational and financial impacts of proposed operational decisionsPosition ResponsibilitiesKey Areas of Responsibility Responsible for the preparation of supporting work papers and filing of the annual Medicare and Tricare Cost Reports ensuring strict compliance with all regulations policies procedures and guidelines Acts as point person for cost report wage index and other related audits providing supporting documentation reviewing adjustments and responding to audit findings in a timely and efficient manner Assists in the preparation and submission of State OHS annual filings including Facility Fee reporting Responsible for quarterly Third Party ndash Government Reserve analysis Maintain a working knowledge of current laws and regulations of the Federal Medicare and State Medicaid programs including changes affecting hospital reimbursement of Medicare bad debt graduate medical education disproportionate share hospital adjustment and uncompensated care payments Work as an effective team member to complete other
