Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for joining a small Financial Analytics & Modeling team with broad responsibilities and exposure to all aspects of a fast-growing energy services company. The Senior Financial Analyst will own financial models and actively assist in raising third party capital, structuring major project agreements, evaluating strategic opportunities, and making key investment decisions.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:

Builds financial models of central utility, chilled water, and power projects to support the executive team on decisions regarding pricing, scenario analysis and capital structures.Builds relationships with potential lenders and investors.Builds and maintains financial models for project level economics.Runs sensitivities and scenarios based on capacity, costs, revenue and regulations.Supports executive team in developing pricing strategies for projects.Participates in meetings and calls with outside legal counsel, tax experts and accounting firms to understand regulations and tax treatments.Applies advanced principles of finance to analyze financial and non-financial information.Facilitates communication and understanding between the field finance & operations functions and corporate Profit & Budget Analysis.Interprets financial data to assist management with strategic decisions.Performs financial analysis of business results and recommend improvement opportunities.

This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to the Director of Operational Finance.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in quantitatively focused majors such as finance, accounting, economics or engineering.7 - 10 years' experience with taxable/tax exempt debt placement/negotiation/valuation.Outstanding analytical skills and demonstrated expertise in developing and utilizing detailed, Excel-based, financial models.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - specifically Microsoft Excel, VBA experience.7 - 10 years minimum experience in financial/business analyst capacity.7 - 10 years minimum experience in financial modeling.Functional experience in corporate finance, project finance, investment banking, fixed income.Comfortable in an environment of high growth with changing priorities, and competing demands for time.

Travel Requirements

20% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Climbing stairs.Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.Quiet environment.Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
