Financial Analyst II

One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Financial Analyst II to work on a 12 - month assignment in their facilities in Spring, TX.
Summary: This role supports the Process Engineering & Products organization within the company Technology and Engineering. The project advisor is the ‘go-to’ contact supporting all Project Controllership finance / accounting activities in the org and interfaces heavily with the EMTech business, Planning and Stewardship organization, and Financial Services. The Process Engineering & Products portfolio consists of ~500 headcount, ~and plays an integral role with ongoing site support at refineries and chemical plants, including some capital support and research activities (e.g. Advanced Recycling). Responsibilities: Provides analytical support in order to deliver financial results. Works with internal workers and external vendors to resolve issues and provide ad-hoc financial analysis. Prepares cost reports including forecasts/outlooks. Assists with allocation of funds for projects based on approved budgets and monitors project accounting. Validate invoices, expenditures and change requests impacting budgets. Identifies and implements improvements to cost management processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Works with moderate work direction and is skilled and knowledgeable to the position. Senior Financial Analyst might be performing basic financial decisions and financial analysis of high complexity. Primary point of contact for area of expertise; maintain business organization and activity knowledge via colocation with the business. Provide strong commercial support through timely collaboration and partnership with key stakeholders and facilitating sound business decisions by generating thoughtful solutions/insights. Develop and/or monitor the execution of project controls through various systems: portfolio analysis (STREAMS), job management and analysis (JADE), Resource deployment support (CATS time writing and allocations), commercial contracting support, Maintain central organization and value chain affiliate interface, corporate separateness, cost recovery, tax optimization. Requirements: Experience using Excel and SAP required. Advanced technical skills in Excel, Power BI, SAP, Blackline preferred, but not required. Financial reporting, data analysis, financial systems, attention to detail.
