Job Summary
The Financial Analyst II plays a key role on Carhartt’s Direct to Consumer (D2C) finance team. The associate will have exposure to the entire D2C organization, inclusive of Retail, E-Commerce, Reworked, and Direct to Business. The associate will assist with managing the financials for our business, gaining experience managing Revenue, Gross Margin, and Operating expense projections. This associate will research trends, provide financial variance explanations, and assist with the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes. This person will be a trusted financial partner for our cross-functional D2C team by providing transparency to business performance and appropriately challenging business partners on key strategic decisions.

Representative Responsibilities

Pre-Season Budgeting and Intra-Season Forecasting: develop and leverage cross-functional relationships to assist in constructing and managing the D2C annual budgets.  Analyze business performance by participating in regular touchpoints with business partners to provide transparency to financial results and financial forecasts  P&L Management: research financial variances to expectations and provide POV to leadership regarding financial performance Assist in the preparation of our monthly financial deck and participate in the presentation to D2C Leadership Partner with teams external to D2C who impact our D2C P&L, including Supply Chain, Customer Care, Information Technology Ad-Hoc Financial Modeling to help support key business decisions across all of D2C (Retail, E-Commerce, Direct to Business, Re-Commerce) Partner with accounting to complete monthly accruals and journal entries

 

Required Education 

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or related field.

 

Required Skills & Experience 

Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance position  Ability to support business planning efforts of the business leaders through proactive strategic thinking  Dedicated, self-motivated, proactive individual with strong desire to learn the business  High level of proficiency in Excel  Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills  Problem solving skills evidenced by demonstrated results in past positions  Strong attention to detail 

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions 

Willing to work some weekends, if necessary  This position has a Hybrid location: Associate will work on-site regularly as needed for work activities. Carhartt is a tobacco free workplace.
