Job: Financial Analyst Senior

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision the Senior Financial Analyst works with key management to define strategic business objectives and formulate key performance indicators in support of corporate financial objectives. Employees in this job class support information to managers to optimize key performance indicators. This job class requires a strong background in financial planning and analysis, as well as data analytics and reporting.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. *Develop and maintain financial models to support short and long-term planning.2. *Acts as lead financial analyst responsible for financial reporting package in support of the operations teams.3. *Leads the annual forecasting process as well as monthly/quarterly forecast updates as determined. Works with various executive team members and department leads to ensure timely communication, preparation, and delivery of financial package.4. *Support the design and implementation of dashboards as determined by various business/finance/accounting business needs.5. *Perform monthly/quarterly variance analysis.6. *Ad hoc financial analysis and financial modeling to support the CFO and other management.7. *Establish reconciliation procedures to ensure completeness, accuracy and validity of reports and establish procedures to capture additional data elements as needed.8. *Support month end close activities by completing journal entries and analysis.9. *Develop policies and procedures and support systems implementation projects.10. *Perform extensive data analysis and complex calculations11. *Support the design and implementation of KPI and variance reporting as determined by various business/finance/accounting business needs.12. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Five plus years of progressive professional experience in financial reporting, forecasting, planning and analysis, and compliance;• Knowledge of federal government contracting a plus;• Advanced skills to create a variety of documents including financial reports, narrative analyses, and presentations with graphical representations; business intelligence and/or data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, etc.);• Highly analytical orientation with the ability to translate various business or financial scenarios into quantifiable representations;• Proficient in using advanced analytical features of spreadsheet software (MS Excel) such as links, lookups, formulas and data validation function;• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to respond to inquiries by top management, public groups, and/or board of directors;• Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with internal and external customers;• Ability to establish priorities and solve a wide range of operational and strategic management issues;• High degree of computer literacy in specialized software related to accounting operations, including database, Internet, spreadsheet, presentations and word processing applications.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors in Business Administration or related field
Masters in Business Administration or related field
*A Bachelors Degree is required for this position; a Masters Degree is preferred.

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
• Sitting for long periods of time (80-95%)
• Keyboarding (75%)
• View computer screen for extended periods (75%)
• Viewing documents with small type (10%)
• Occasionally lift heavy boxes of up to 25 pounds
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a business office environment. Occasional travel to other work sites is required. Employees may be required to work in excess of 8 hours in a day and/or 40 hours per week.
