The role you’ll contribute:

The Financial Analyst Supervisor interacts with senior finance officers and department Directors to provide relevant, accurate, and timely information. The analyst performs research, collects data, and skillfully organizes and presents the analysis to management in written or oral format. Exercises objective, independent judgment in developing financial recommendations for management. Develops and trains staff in analyzing and organizing information into a coherent report, also trains on how to recommend and implement solutions based on this analysis, subject to the approval of management. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Provides coaching to co-workers appropriately and effectively as part of overall responsibility, and has ability to help staff to frame issues and apply analytical and critical-thinking skills to problem resolution.

Coordinates projects as required in conjunction with the Manager and/or Director and staff.

Ensures all documentation is current for all areas of responsibility.

Coordinates projects by maintaining a project plan and anticipating potential roadblocks that staff may encounter and taking corrective action so projects are completed on time.

Reviews and validates financial information, assumptions and methodology based on a thorough understanding of financial concepts, healthcare principles and Advent Health systems.

Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting OR Bachelor’s degree in non-accounting discipline with adequate accounting course work including intermediate accounting and other upper level financial and accounting courses

Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Complete understanding of double entry accounting and an operational understanding of routine accounting functions

Working knowledge of personal computer applications and spreadsheet analysis

Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at one time

Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with proven analytical and organizational abilities

Computer proficiency, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Three (3) years of experience in healthcare finance/accounting, or a related field
