Financial Analyst V / Sr. Accounting Analyst
**What You'll Do** We’re looking for a Financial Analyst V to join our Corporate Finance team. In this role, you’ll consult with leadership and provide insights and analysis activities for Principal’s Enterprise Worksite Services (“EWS”) and Global Financial Resources (“GFR”) shared services. You’ll be responsible for planning, forecasting, budgeting, and delivering analysis and insights in consultation with enterprise facilities, global finance leadership, and broader business partners. This role enables management to identify and act on investment and expense optimization opportunities while making sound financial decisions! + Analyze EWS, GFR, human resources, and external data sources to provide insights into facilities operations, global financial activities, project costs, and resource allocation while providing clear, actionable, and data-driven insights to leadership. + Collaborate and consult with leaders to develop budgets and forecasts for facilities management, global financial initiatives, capital projects, operational expenses, and resource planning. + Consult on appropriate allocation methodologies for costs, while partnering with finance teams on implementation and analysis of business unit financial implications. + Evaluate proposed investments by assessing financial impacts and alignment with strategic goals. Our mission, integrity, and customer focus have made us a trusted leader for more than 140 years! **Who You Are** + Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, math, actuarial science, or related field with a 6+ years of relevant analytical experience preferred + Skilled in collaborating with a variety of partners, including outside consultants and vendors, with the ability to influence others without formal authority. + Strong skills in communicating with all levels of the organization and easily translating complex topics for others to understand. + Demonstrates the ability to embrace and understand the change process, and effectively guides others through change. + Managing financial planning & analysis for enterprise facilities and/or global finance functions with experience in capacity planning, forecasting, budgeting, etc. + Strong knowledge and proficiency with spreadsheet and database or similar PC software packages. + Advanced analytical thinking, descriptive statistics and consultation ability, and problem-solving skills. **Salary Range Information** Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. **Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)** $106400 - $144400 / year **Time Off Program** Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
