This is a hybrid position located in Columbus Ohio and you will be required to come into the office on Tues and Weds each week. 

Role Summary

This Specialist role supports the financial planning and analysis for our Corporate Technology team, working closely with Legal, HR, and Marketing business partners, including both technology and occasionally direct business partners. You will also play a key role in Corporate Technology executive planning and will contribute significantly to monthly and quarterly financial planning and analysis processes.

As a Specialist, you'll conduct and document complex financial, budget and business-related analyses. In addition, you'll prepare forecast and trends analyses to support financial projects and business operations. You'll have opportunities to lead special financial business related studies, analyze complex budgets and forecast funding requirements. You may serve in an associate lead/supervisory role.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager/Director. This is an individual contributor role.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in finance, accounting, economics or a related field; degree preferred.

License/Certification/Designation: Pursuit of CPA or other related technical insurance designation desirable.

Experience: Typically, six or more years related experience in finance, accounting, insurance or similar field. Product or business unit specific experience required.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: In-depth knowledge of statistical/financial analysis, financial statement and budget preparation, and enterprise-wide business operations. Knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting practices and insurance/financial services business requirements. Project management concepts and techniques.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence. 

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.
