The Financial Consolidation Accountant for Leica Biosystems is responsible for consolidation reporting and ensuring consistency and compliance with all Accounting and Control practices. You will also play a role in global ad hoc projects as well as strengthening our existing financial control infrastructure. You will be a part of the Global Corporate Team and report to the Senior Manager Controlling. In this role you will have the opportunity to: Manages the internal and external monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for Leica Biosystems, inclusive of: + Internal financial reporting including internal results of operations, specified items, balance sheet and applicable analysis, assists with monthly, quarterly, and annual tax processes, including transfer pricing. + Championing the Company’s continued financial stability through a focus on driving integrity in the closing process, internal controls, cost discipline and forecasting accuracy. + Assisting with the calculation of corporate adjustments included in the monthly consolidated financial statements. + Identifies, recommends, and actively participates in business process improvement opportunities. The essential requirements of the job include: + Bachelor's Degree in field with 5+ years experience or Master's degree in field with 3+ years experience OR Doctoral degree in field wit 0+ years experience + CPA license is essential + Experience in preparation and analysis of financial statements. + Knowledge and experience of US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX). + SAP or comparable ERP system experience is advantageous but not essential. Travel/Location of Travel, include approximate overnight stays per week + Travel expectations within this role are minimal (<10%) + This role shall be based at Deer Park, IL The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
