Financial Controller
The Financial Controller is responsible for the manufacturing accounting activities for the Reynosa, MX site and the US distribution centers ensuring timely and accurate reporting, financial integrity and compliance with US GAAP, Mexican GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other local regulations. They will partner with the site operations, business unit finance, and corporate accounting. A successful candidate will be detail oriented and have manufacturing knowledge.
The role will be based in Reynosa, MX.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World: Develop, interpret, and report financial information for the Reynosa plant and US distribution centers in a timely manner to the Operations leadership team, corporate finance, and plant management in compliance with specified requirements. Responsible for plant’s monthly book close process including assessments and settlements. Maintain and develop key performance measures and tracking systems for the plant to measure progress and identify focus areas for improvement. Calculate and analyze costs for all US and MX sites including annual standards and current costs. Also, ensure that the bill of materials, routings, and costs reflect production operations and are accurate and accounted for properly. Work with BU Finance and Operations to develop annual operation budgets. Ensure the accuracy of the physical inventory, cycle counts and reported results. Keep abreast of the latest technical accounting and other regulatory updates. Assess their business impact and implement the best solution for the company. Develops, implements, and maintains accounting systems and processes in accordance with company procedures and policies. Ensures accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data according to US GAAP and Mexican GAAP and in compliance with local statutory requirements. Work with local Import/Export department to ensure efficient and effective processes are in place in accordance with company policies and US, Mexico and international laws. Support internal, external and statutory audits. Support Euless Financial Assistant Controller as required. Other special projects, as required.
Required Qualifications for Consideration
Bachelor’s degree with in Accounting, Finance or related field 10+ years of experience in similar position Proven work experience as a cost accountant in a manufacturing environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced Spanish / English communication skills. Strong technical accounting skills Ability to work effectively on a team or independently with a track record of delivering results on time with attention to detail. Ability to work with changing priorities and deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel
