Finance Wholesale Bank NL is responsible for the financial accounting and statutory and regulatory reporting of all Wholesale activities in ING’s home market, with a Balance Sheet of +300 billion euro. This scope includes the full range of WB product lines including Financial Markets, Corporate Lending and Corporate Investments.
In our Finance team you can get involved in assignments that cover every aspect of the Finance world, from accounting dilemmas to Basel regulation updates to technical challenges in one of the cross-border processes that constitute the E2E chain we need to oversee. Responsibilities
The role of a Financial Controller is among others to:
be responsible to ensure quality control over financial and regulatory reporting. This includes analytical reviews based on accounting and business knowledge as well as consistency checks between financial and regulatory reports.participate in projects by clarifying data definitions and proposing solutionsguarantee compliance with control frameworkskeep the overview over end-to-end Finance processes, being executed across multiple countries.advise senior management and the business partners on the accounting and reporting impact of large transactions such as intercompany transfers, legal mergers, divestments or acquisitions and newly developed products and business changes.participate in projects implementing new systems and process changes where you are responsible to set and implement accounting, reporting and control requirements.Current topics to work on include analytical reviews, annual accounts, accounting schemes, FinRep, AnaCredit, Deposit Guarantee Scheme, liquidity reporting and many other forms of reporting and analyses.

7+ years of prior relevant work experience in a banking environment (Financial/ Risk) or BIG4 in Audit or consultancyExperience with either statutory or regulatory reportingKnowledge of IFRSStrong analytical skills: you are able to understand, correlate and explain complex matters in a simple way and you like to fact check statements of your own or othersAware of the importance of data for a bankReady to make the link between regulation and technologyDriven and customer focused, loving to collaborate with people in various roles and squads
