Our client is looking to appoint a remote Financial Controller on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the Group Finance function, focusing on enhancing consolidation reporting and processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities of the Financial Controller will include, but will not be limited to:
Oversee the preparation of the Group's consolidated monthly management accountsInterpret and apply accounting standards (IFRS and UK GAAP) to relevant transactionsPrepare accounting papers and maintain Group accounting policiesProvide guidance to finance teams and the business on complex accounting mattersLead the Group budgeting and forecasting processesCollaborate with external advisors and auditors on:AuditsTax filingsAccounting matters and the implementation of new standardsPrepare the Group's consolidated statutory and interim accountsManage Group VAT compliance and oversee financial systemsSupervise the intercompany reconciliation and reporting processes.Support investor reporting and related requirements.
The successful Financial Controller will require the following skills and experience:
CA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experienceProven expertise in navigating technical accounting and statutory reporting requirements, including IFRS and UK GAAP, with a focus on standards such as IFRS 3, 9, 15, and 16Skilled in preparing consolidated and statutory accounts in compliance with IFRS and UK GAAPPrevious experience in group or multi-entity reportingProactive self-starter with a curious and analytical mindsetAdvanced proficiency in Excel
