Financial Controller with French

Currently, we are looking for a Financial Controller with French for one of our companies for the French-speaking market to join our Shared Services Center EMEA.

Position overview

As the right hand of the Administrative and Financial Director, you will play a strategic and operational leadership role across accounting, taxation, and consolidation activities. You will supervise teams both locally and internationally, ensuring high standards of compliance and performance while contributing to the Group’s broader financial and growth objectives.

 
Key Responsibilities  Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual closes according to IFRS and US GAAP and statutory closes based on Local accounting standards. As such, you manage the closing schedule in accordance with all external and internal collaborators. Responsible for accounting procedures and implementation of group policy. Review accounting transactions and ensure compliance. Group reporting /Financial statements/ Balance sheet review and reconciliations. Responsible for tax returns and tax audit. Liaise with local tax council. Main point of contact for auditors, subsidiaries, shared services center and Group accounting team. Propose improvements and optimizations to the financial processes. Participate in projects for external growth.
Requirements: Master’s degree (Bac +4/5) in Finance, Accounting, or Management, ideally completed with a professional accounting certification (e.g., DSCG, CPA, ACCA); Fluent in French and English (at least B2); Team player and deadline oriented; Attention to details and accuracy, self-motivated and organized; Excellent knowledge of MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a financial management role within an international environment. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP. Proficiency in ERP systems, ideally SAP. Experience in digital transformation and finance process automation. Managerial Competence: leadership capabilities with a collaborative, approachable style. Ability to foster a culture of excellence, autonomy, and initiative within your team.
