Our purpose – Celebrating life, every day, everywhere – has an important role in our company, for our people, our diversity, our brands, in how we perform and how we create shared value. **About the role** The **Financial Controlling Lead Analyst** will support the team members with technical related questions and issues and report / advance matters to the Lead / Junior Managers within the area. + Ensure smooth and accurate month-end closes, the timely and accurate submission of the financial & statutory report. + Give technical accounting support within their own field to the FC team, + Partner with the RTR team to ensure the information in the legal entity financial documents accurately and completely reflects our business operations + Support the decision making process with different financial controlling analysis, + Ensure that the policies and procedures are understood and followed in the team and act as advisor to other GBO group function teams + Perform month end close responsibilities including journal entry preparation, supports the reconciliation process (e.g. accounting mentorship and ensuring accurate backup information and data in alignment with PCAOB requirements) + Prepare financial & statutory reports and supporting analysis + Ensure that financial & statutory processes are undertaken accurately, efficiently, on time and that the surrounding control procedures are technically adhered to in line with the internal (CARM) and external requirements + Understand, interpret, and implement Group Accounting and Reporting requirements; communicate requirements to the rest of the Financial Control team and to relevant teams in GBO + Support the FAC process, provide analysis for the FAC completion **What you'll bring** + Bachelor's or Master's Degree + Proven experience in Financial Controlling / Accounting / Statutory / Audit + Qualified accountant + 3-5 years’ experience in relevant area + Experience working within an international / multicultural environment + Outstanding Risk Management (Internal Controls, Handling Risk, Embedding Compliance & Ethics) + Strong Financial Controlling knowledge (Balance sheet, Group and Local Financial Reporting, Accounting principles) + Strong analytical skills to be able to see and understand the big picture and deliver high level message, offering solutions for issues + Fluent English knowledge **Benefits of working here** + Unique Family Leave opportunity + We work without border - you will work with people from all over the world + You will deal with world class brand portfolio + Wide variety of thematic events, afterwork activities organized by employee communities + Product Allowance to purchase company products from the staff shop + We won the Fittest Workplace Award, of course we have a Gym + Urban legend is true, we do have a Rooftop Bar **Inclusion & Diversity** Celebrating our inclusive and diverse culture is core to Diageo’s purpose of “celebrating life every day everywhere”.
