As our Patient Financial Rep II, you’ll work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. You’ll be responsible for counseling uninsured and or under-insured patients to attempt to obtain a paying funding source. You’ll be using your compassionate customer service to assist patients with navigating the financial aspect of their healthcare. This is a fast-paced position that will rely on your proven ability to multi-task and your desire to help patients.
To thrive in this position, you will need to be calm and attentive as you explain complex financial concepts. You’ll use your prior experience with a variety of software and navigating multiple systems to collect patient information and enter it into multiple computer systems. You will make phone calls to medical centers to solve issues. You’ll use your communication and problem-solving skills to address billing discrepancies and insurance-related issues.
Although previous healthcare experience would be helpful, it is not required. We will teach you our industry-leading technology and a variety of medical terminology to perform at your best and feel good about what you do. Since you will be working in a hospital, you must be up to date on all vaccines (including but not limited to annual flu shot). We can help you with your vaccines at no cost to you. You will also need to pass a background check and drug screen.
Here’s What You Can Expect
Engaging with patients to provide detailed explanations of medical bills, insurance coverage, and financial assistance programs. The information you collect will need to be entered into the computer so you will need to feel comfortable in a fast-paced work setting, capable of staying calm under pressure while making the patient feel at ease. You’ll also need to feel comfortable using multiple computer systems and typing quickly and accurately.
Helping people who may be very ill or worried. Patients need you to be there for them and listen carefully to ease their anxiety. While you accurately and compassionately explain to the patient their financial obligations during the financial counseling session.

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $17.25 - $23.40 per hour .
