Summary

JOB SUMMARY

Is responsible for the collection of self-pay accounts to include: processing Financial Assistance applications, installment plans, performing/screening for presumptive eligibility through DHMH, Medical Assistance referrals and Grant programs. Ensures that all services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of Service, Performance, Integrity, Respect, Innovation and Teamwork of Carroll Hospital.

REQUIREMENTS Preferred High School Diploma Collection training preferred. Less than 2 years At least one year experience in a collection field and six months in a hospital or medical office preferred. Required
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Exhibit a professional, courteous approach to patients, families, physicians, colleagues and customers in person and on the telephone. Commits to work with peer/mgmt groups to achieve the performance measurement goals of collections and Financial Assistance programs.
