Financial Crime Compliance Manager, HSBC Life Insurance

As Risk Stewards, Financial Crime Compliance officer provides advice, guidance, opinions, direction, and training related to the regulatory landscape to the First Line of Defence/business. To ensure the business complies with the letter and spirit of relevant regulations, thereby delivering fair outcomes for customers and embedding a robust risk management culture in HSBC's business processes. The key risk management role that has a broad remit and responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to; advice and oversight on Anti-Money Laundering Counter Terrorist Financing, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery Curroption, Fraud Risk Management, and Anti-Tax Evasion.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

ŸTo assist Line Manager to implement and execute the financial crime compliance strategies, especially fraud risk management to minimize risks of exposure loss and attainment of strategic operating objectives.

ŸTo review and evaluate FCC issues especially fraud risk and/or concerns within the Company, and advise the business, management, line management and employees of emerging FCC issues, and provide constructive suggestions on FCC-related matters especially fraud risk management in the manner that facilitates business growth. The incumbent will provide advice and recommendations in relation to insurance FCC and new product or business initiatives.

ŸTo analyze financial crime especially fraudulent activities and prepare materials to improve fraud awareness of all staff, especially front line staff and sales staff.

ŸEvaluate business operations to identify risk areas for fraud and design, implement, or maintain fraud detection tools or procedures.

ŸMaintain knowledge of current events and trends in such areas as money laundering and criminal tools and techniquesTo ensure product, procedures, policies in compliance with related laws and regulations.

ŸTo assist all PINB branches to handle FC risk (including local regualtory requirements such as case prevention) related regulatory requests and projects.

ŸTo maintain constructive relationship with internal strategic partners.

ŸHandle internal and regulatory reporting in FC areas.
