This program will make you ready to apply for a next level career move which is our Financial Management Leadership Program (FMP) (https://blog.frissdiplomas.hu/2022/11/24/az-fmp-programmal-nemcsak-egy-csapatot-hanem-egy-csaladot-is-kaphatsz-interju-a-ge-gas-power-negyedik-rotacios-fmp-tagjaval/) . **You can join the following teams/areas:** **Global Supply Chain** : As a member of the Gas Power Global Supply Chain Process Center of Excellence, the horizontal site support for manufacturing and repairs operations is the key finance partner flexing across one or multiple sites. The mission of the horizontal site support is to drive improvements to core finance processes and partner with Data & Analytics COE to create tools & analytical solutions enabling efficiency to downstream operating partners. As an intern in the SCOF team you will support comprehensive financial planning, reporting and analysis to downstream site operations. **Sourcing cash finance** activities such as vendor onboarding – greenlighting and activation, support with resolving supplier data disconnects in the ERP, analyze volume and frequency of exceptional payments. Support cash leader on Account Payable data quality improvement – decrease the volumen in the open Purchase Order past due aged balances by connecting with multiple teams for success. Support to lay down a clear process and mapping within the AP dataset. Own and lead calls on daily management tasks. **Controllership:** account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis to highlight risks for management, quarterly closing to make sure financials give the right information to stakeholders, change management activities: such as business re-organization, legal entity changes, various IT projects (ERP development) and external & internal audits. **Financial planning and reporting** (FP&A) activities, which includes working closely with operational leaders and other finance teams to create a plan for headcount, functional cost, foreign exchange exposure, inventory related items (such as logistics cost) and analyzing the results to make sure that Supply Chain/Base Cost organization is meeting its commitments. **Inventory** related analytics, such as inventory valuation including FIFO and Intercompany profit (ICP), Obsolescence calculation, inventory modification and scrap process ownership, inventory surplus/deficit review and support internal/external audits. Standard costing / Sourcing related financial support and analytics, driving projects which are targeting a more transparent income statement reporting structure and create consistency across the different units. **Finance IT** team’s responsibility is the ERP Finance support of Alpha ERP (Oracle) and Powermax (SAP). This includes system support, report and data quality management by maintaining ERP setups, data integrity and cutover support for deployments (Customer/vendor creation, extension, data quality analysis) and closing and reconciliation tasks. **Trade Finance** , Letter of Credit (LC): discovery of this secure payment method used in international trade, connecting externally with banks, logistics and other service providers and internally with GE Regional Teams worldwide and with Order Management and Cash Application Teams, check compliance with LC process, latest date of shipment follow-up, daily distribution of LC related information to stakeholders, contribute to cash collection from LCs. **WE NEED YOU TO HAVE:** + Ongoing studies (Finance/Accounting specialization preferred) + Basic financial knowledge (Balance sheet/Income statement/Cash flow) + Active student enrollment (preferably for more than one year) + 24-40 hours per week working availability + Fluency in English (additional Hungarian knowledge preferred) + Strong user level MS office skills + Flexibility + Ability to learn and adapt + Analytical thinking + Good communication skill and team player attitude + Ability to work in Hungary: Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary **WE WILL PROVIDE YOU:** + Exciting programs to develop yourself and get to know others in the company + Flexible time-schedule + Flexible location (Budapest/ Veresegyház, fix or flexible desk) + Rotations in different finance areas + Leadership presence/exposure (CFO staff pitch out after rotation) + Wellbeing culture: Healthcare Service, cafeteria, life coaching and other services + Work with and learn from subject matter experts + Wing to wing ownership on projects + Thesis writing support **Additional Notes:** + Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary + This is a hybrid role with three days remote and two days in the office. **Additional Information** **Relocation Assistance Provided:** No GE Vernova is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
