Financial Inventory Analyst

Job Summary
• This role is responsible for leading and providing expertise to project teams, participating in cross-functional initiatives, and guiding process improvements and policy establishment. The role collaborates with business leaders to influence strategic decision-making and conducts complex financial analysis to achieve objectives effectively. The role also represents the business unit and the organization as needed, builds productive relationships, and mentors lower-level employees.

Responsibilities

Non-Nettable Inventory:
Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization to enhance operational and financial performanceOTW (On-the-Water) Inventory Management:
Inventory, is part of a company's inventory, but it is not physically present in the receiving facility, a reconciliation needs to be performed based on the inventory data with purchasing and supplier reports to ensure accuracy and existence of inventory that is physically with our suppliers (ODM), to ensure accuracy and alignment with inventory on handE&O Reserves:
Monitor inventory aging and calculate reserves for excess, obsolete, or damaged stock in alignment with policies.SOX Compliance:
Perform quarterly SOX control and ensure proper documentation for audits.Inventory Analysis:
Conduct trend analyses, generate performance reports, and provide insights for operational improvement.Account Reconciliation:
Perform monthly reconciliations of inventory accounts and address discrepancies.Issue Resolution:
Identify and resolve inventory-related challenges in collaboration with cross-functional teams.Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and participates in cross-functional initiatives.
• Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
• Collaborates with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
• Performs complex and occasionally highly complex financial analysis for a financial function or business, utilizing strong business understanding to achieve objectives effectively.


Education & Experience Recommended
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, , Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5-7 years in inventory management or related roles, with senior-level expertise.  


Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Supply Chain Management,  Economics or related field.Experience: 5-7 years in inventory management or related roles, with senior-level expertise.Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to inventory challenges.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams, attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
