As the Financial Lines Underwriter Manager Iberia at Chubb, you will be responsible for financial lines products in the Iberian region. In this position, you will play a crucial role in driving profitable growth, maintaining strong relationships with brokers, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Line Leadership and Management:
Provide guidance and support to the Financial Lines Underwriters in Iberia to ensure optimal performance.Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.Conduct regular performance evaluations, training sessions, and coaching to enhance individual and team performance.Underwriting Strategy and Execution:
Develop and execute the financial lines underwriting strategy for the Iberian market, aligning it with company objectives and profitability targets.Assess and underwrite complex accounts within the financial lines portfolio, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines, rating models, and regulatory requirements.Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and emerging risks to identify opportunities for product development and growth.Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, serving as a trusted advisor on financial lines and risk management matters.Collaborate with key stakeholders, such as claims, actuarial, and legal departments, to ensure effective coordination and resolution of underwriting issues.Represent Chubb at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance the company's reputation and market presence.Portfolio Management and Performance Monitoring:
Monitor the financial lines underwriting portfolio to ensure proper risk selection, adequate pricing, and the achievement of profitability goals.Conduct regular portfolio analysis and reporting, identifying areas of improvement and recommending corrective actions.Collaborate with the actuarial team to assess underwriting performance, loss trends, and market conditions for accurate pricing and reserving.
Qualifications:
Solid experience in financial lines underwriting, with a deep understanding of products such as D&O Liability, Professional Indemnity, and Cyber Insurance.Proven experience in managing or leading underwriting teams, preferably in the insurance industry.Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken).Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on complex data and underwriting principles.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders.In-depth knowledge of the Iberian insurance market, regulations, and industry dynamics.What we offer in return:
